As DPC Winter 2021 already half-way through, a lot of new names has risen and take place. In the opposite, a lot of big names are still stay out of the game, either as free agent or inactive sub. Let see what is what are those names with Vikingdota.
w33
As one of the original founder of Nigma, w33 has been inactive for majority of the year despite his teammates still active. Moved to bench since April, w33 announced his comeback on Oct but the whole team still opted to play with their coach rmN- than with the ex-TI runner-up.
Division 1 of the WEU region is where w33 has spent most of his competitive Dota 2 career lately. This division contains some of the best midlaners in the scene right now. As such, it will be a difficult challenge for him to make a return to this region unless he chooses to stop competing voluntarily.
Saksa
As the replacement for Jerax in OG, Saksa had some success with OG and even performed relatively good at TI10. After the TI, Saksa announced his departure from OG and aim for a tier 1 team moving. Although, the move was not fulfilled and Saksa now still a free agent.
With the current situation, Saksa still having a lot of chance to rejoin a top tier team. But he has to wait until the next transfer window for a chance in this year DPC.
Sccc
As one of the top midlane/carry for a long time. Although recently, the chinese talent's career has take a turn, and bloomed into one of the top streamer in China. With the current deal with Huya, Sccc having more than enough income for him to not caring about competitive Dota for a long time. Beside from that, he also receiving a lot of advertising contracts from fashion industry. All of that will probably keeping Sccc away from tier 1 competitive Dota for some more time.
Beside from those big names, there are a lot more top tier players like Save-, fy, Topson, Notail or EternalEnvy are still missing this DPC season. Hopefully they will comeback in the future and show their top tier play once more.
