With the Group Stage being decided, TI10 is right at the front door now
While many Dota 2 fans are anxiously awaiting to see how the OG-PSG.LGD-Elephant storyline will unfold at TI10, they will need to wait for the group stage to come to a close as OG are seeded in a different group than their arch enemies from China. The two time TI champions and TI9 title defenders, OG were seeded in group A while PSG.LGD and Elephant are both in group B.
At the end of the group stage, the first team from each group will get to choose their opponent for the first series in the playoffs from either the 3rd or 4th place finish in the opposite group. The top four teams from each group will secure upper bracket seeds for the playoffs while the 5th to 8th placed teams will head to the lower bracket where the first round will be a best-of-one battle for survival.
Playoffs matches will unfold October 12 to 17th with a total of 16 teams fighting for the Aegis of Champions and a share of the $40,018,195 prize pool in a double elimination bracket. First round in the lower bracket is a best-of-one, the rest of the series are best-of-three while the TI10 Champions will be decided at the end of the best-of-five grand finals.
TI10 action will kick off tomorrow, October 7 at 09:00 CEST/15:00 SGT/03:00 EDT with group A matches, followed by group B which is scheduled to commence at 11:00 CEST/17:00 SGT/05:00 EDT.
